About OutreachTV
Outreach TV was founded with a mission to provide inmates with educational and inspirational content delivered directly to their cells. We aim to educate, encourage, and uplift men and women who are seeking growth in their lives, offering messages of hope, transformation, and faith.
To support this mission, we’ve developed a secure media delivery system that brings Outreach TV’s content directly into correctional facilities. Our custom-built module works with existing systems, enabling inmates to turn on their TVs and engage with educational and inspirational programming designed to encourage growth and transformation.
We are developing new tools that will allow prison administrators to communicate directly with inmates through their televisions. These features will support the broadcasting of facility-wide announcements and emergency updates.
Across the country, many correctional facilities are now providing inmates with access to tablets. Outreach TV has already begun deploying inspirational and educational content to these devices, extending our reach and impact beyond traditional television systems.
By combining secure technology with a heart for ministry, Outreach TV is helping reshape the way prisons deliver connection, communication, and positive transformation to those behind the walls.
The Outreach Television Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, along with its subsidiaries, The Project Nashville and Project Prison Music.

J.R. Davis – Founder
J.R. Davis is a Nashville-based ministry leader, media producer, and community advocate who has dedicated his life to serving the marginalized. He is the founder of both The Project Nashville and Project Prison Music, two organizations that reflect his passion for helping former inmates and others in need. With a professional background in television and music production and over two decades of hands-on prison ministry work, J.R. brings a unique blend of experience, creativity, and compassion to his ministries. He is known for his collaborations with renowned Nashville musicians in outreach programs and for his deep commitment to sharing faith and hope with those often forgotten by society.
Early Career in Music and Media
J.R. moved to Nashville to pursue a career in songwriting, eventually founding Wincorp PR and Advertising. His success in public relations and promotional work opened the door to television production, where he went on to produce travel and music content. These early ventures laid a strong foundation in media and storytelling that would later serve as a powerful asset in his ministry work.
The Project Nashville
In 2013, J.R. founded The Project Nashville to serve formerly incarcerated individuals and those facing homelessness. What began as a grassroots volunteer network has grown into a compassionate outreach ministry addressing immediate needs and connecting people with long-term support systems. J.R.'s vision for dignity and restoration remains at the heart of the organization.
Launching Project Prison Music
Project Prison Music is a nonprofit initiative that brings live music and powerful testimonies into correctional facilities. By collaborating with artists across genres, the program creates uplifting experiences and opens hearts to the Gospel in a format that is approachable and meaningful.
Prison Ministry and Community Leadership
J.R. has dedicated over 20 years to weekly prison ministry, serving in leadership roles with Men of Valor, as Chairman of the Tennessee Community Resource Board, and as a board member of Tennessee Prison Outreach Ministry. His work also includes producing Vibe TV, a program broadcast on the Outreach Television Network and distributed to tablets in prisons.
Collaborations with Nashville Artists and Speakers
J.R.’s extensive background in media has opened the door to collaborations with numerous celebrities and artists, allowing him to bring well-known talent into correctional facilities for impactful music and speaking events. These powerful experiences help bridge the gap between worlds and highlight the shared humanity of everyone involved.
Personal Life and Values
J.R. lives in Nashville with his wife, Kathy, and is a proud father of two sons, Johnathan and Jordan. His life is grounded in faith, family, and the belief that transformation is possible through the love of Christ.

Jordan Davis – Co-Founder
Jordan Davis specializes in custom network infrastructure and emerging technologies. While incarcerated, he was mentored by Carl Carlson and Ken Leary of Men of Valor, who played a pivotal role in shaping his early growth. Upon his release, Jordan began an internship with a local real estate investor, where he learned to repair and renovate properties from the ground up and was introduced to property management, an area he now oversees through his own company.
With a strong work ethic and a mindset rooted in continuous growth, Jordan went on to paint and restore some of Nashville’s most prestigious private residences. He would often listen to audiobooks on faith, business, and leadership as he worked, growing both his craft and his mind. A lifelong passion for technology, combined with inspiration from his father’s commitment to service, eventually led Jordan to apply his skills in tech and communication to support and empower others, especially those impacted by incarceration.
Jordan is a proud member of the Tennessee Return Citizens Committee, a group of formerly incarcerated individuals who provide first-hand insights into the reentry process. The committee works closely with the Tennessee Community Resource Board to offer policy recommendations and foster stronger relationships between returning citizens and their communities.
As part of their initiative, Jordan and fellow committee members speak to men and women preparing for release across the state. They share practical tools, personal stories, and hard-earned wisdom to help others navigate the real-world challenges of reentry and self-reinvention.
Today, Jordan lives in Gallatin, Tennessee, with his wife and four children. He channels his passions into serving those affected by incarceration, using his expertise in technology and public speaking to create solutions, share encouragement, and inspire transformation both behind bars and beyond.
